So I leave for NYC tomorrow ...
What should AFOS wear to the big city?
Where should he shop?
Where should he eat?
Anybody want to get together for a jawnz drink?
For this trip (and just because I’ve saved like a mofo for this trip) I’m balling out of control within reasonable vacation standards.
Anything else I should know? I’m just cleaning the house and packing the house all day so I can probably...

If only you could thrift .44 Magnums to complete the 70’s cop look…
I’m just waiting for the Republicans to change the laws. (ed note: this is a joke, I’m joking)

10 things you might not know about A Fistful of...
1000 posts! Wow! That is a lot of ranting and narcissistic low-quality WIWT pictures.
For being such good sports and putting up with my rambling and generally annoyingly discursive doucheblogery (wordplay! [ed. note: see that! That’s the annoying discursive tangents I’m talking about! This shit must be hard to parse sometime.), here are 10 things you might not know about me, and may...

I haven't been neglecting the blog...
I’ve just been wearing jeans, an OCBD and boat shoes for the last 3 days (winter is dead, long live summer!) I’ll be back with some WIWT action tonight.
I’m getting to the end of a ~4,000 word (10 goddamn page) thrifting paen/manifesto*.
Originally a 3-parter on building a thrifted wardrobe, it got away from me (as everything I write is wont to do [probably because of my...

Eight-in-Hand: #Menswear Anagrams →
Is it weird my first reaction was “…tastefully?”
I kid, I kid. This list is kind of perfect though.
eightinhand:
Because I am a huge nerd, and because it’s Friday. Some anagrams turned out better than others. At least I tried, ok?

punchingclothes-deactivated2012 asked: Hey AFOS, I need some advice. How the bloody hell do I wear this J. Crew jacket (item code: 69245)? I figured this kind of thing would be right up your alley. Enlighten me! How would you go about tackling this?

Until I head off to the windy apple. Celebrate my 28th birthday and my 3rd anniversary of moving away from the city.
Any NYC bloggers around Mar 28th-Apr 1st wanna get birthday drunk?
How about some good thrifty spots? Or some new and super dope restaurants/food trucks (mostly food trucks, we don’t have those in Portland)? Anything else I might have missed by moving away for 3 years?

girouxmcisaak asked: Have you ever gone to one of the Goodwill Outlets? I went to one yesterday, and I was completely out of my element. I consider myself a good thrifter, but that was just chaos.

– An Affordable Wardrobe: Torture and Anguish
Leaving aside his world class thrifting skills, it’s turns of phrase like this that make Giuseppe my favorite blogger.

Thrifting Pre-Season.
So I said earlier today that thrift season was upon us. And, since I practice what I preach, I hit up a thrift, even though I should be reading about environmental land use planning.
And, since I’m boss as shit at this I found… nothing. I was about to walk away empty handed, even planning my blog post about not getting discouraged and how you need to be persistent even in the face...

Thrifting season begins today (more or less)
Hey Tumblr.
The weather has finally… gotten slightly warmer (seriously when was winter this year?)
In any event, once the weather changes it’s the thrifting seasons (note to self: learn appropriate sporting championship metaphor)Anheuser - Busch Mill Creek 500*.
People are putting away their winter things (after purging the things they never wore) and pulling out their spring items...

tangodancingphdcandidate asked: Great blog, bro. What impresses me the most about your style is primarily the fit (Sorry, maximalism!). You do a great job of showing that a nice, clean fit does not have to be super-slim and super-tapered. With all respect to other bloggers out there, whose style I respect and draw inspiration from, those tightly tapered pants look really awkward. Not mention they make people's feet look...

steelwoolgoldenfleece asked: what movies are you watching? I've never seen / am about to pop in Bladerunner
Anonymous asked: Stumbled upon your blog, love your eclectic / personal style with the way all the mens blogs are today, its nice to see a non-elitist person who likes to mix feasable items of clothing and put there spin on it. Question though, how are you thrifting such nice / serviceable items. I.E LL Bean ducks boots? Do you tailor most of these jackets when you buy them?
chrishill asked: Disney. Early April. This place could use a class, any suggestions on comfy gentleman casual for a week at the park - Mickey ears excluded of course.
Snow Day!
Well it’s March, so we’re finally getting some snow.
My girlfriend is out of town to attend a funeral.
Work is closed.
Give me some entertaining questions to think over while I watch slow moving foreign action movies on Netflix.
Also, netflix recommendations, because I’m ultra broke til the end of the month and only movies can keep me company.
