Q:I seriously hate you dude. As soon as I saw the most recent post I sad aloud "I bet you his Norwegian sweater is vintage L.L Bean he probably thrifted for like $10." Nope, it was $5. I've been to Boothbay and the L.L Bean in Portland, but I'm seriously moving there purely for sartorial reasons. I dub thee the King of Thrift brother.
Haha, thanks!
While I am pretty good at thrifting (and really, really like being complimented), I will say that in Maine the Norwegian is all over the place. At one point the consignment store I work in had 4 vintage ones in stock with a 5th that had red bird’s eye, and a 6th that I assume was new as it was 100% wool, not 80/20 wool nylon like the vintage model.
Sartorially it’s a small crew of guys holding it down, but I think we do alright. The general lack of interest in #menswear definitely helps out the thrifty, and I would also cosign moving to Maine for food, recreation, cost, quality of life and just general “being in New England”-ness.

Haha being a New Jerseyite I could never move anywhere but the Northeast. I’m in Ohio at school now and boy is it different. Not sure my woman would approve to the nothern-Northeast but a best friend has a Boothbay house we’ll frequent this summer.
