Q:"gifted .... sort of?" I think you've got a story to tell.
About 2 weeks after I started working at the consignment shop I currently work at a friend came in with the jacket. She said I could have it and that, “it’s hand tailored, or something”.
I assumed she meant she wanted to consign it, as it’s a beautiful piece replete with bespoke details, but when I asked how much money she was hoping to get she gave me a quizzical look and said,
“oh no, it’s for you. I guess if it doesn’t fit… whatever, you can just consign it for yourself.”
Fortunately it fit me about as perfectly as anything ever has.
I wrote about it sometime last summer, but my internet is misbehaving so I’ll let people explore the blog to find it themselves.
