An Affordable Wardrobe: Reader Questions : The Devil's Own Cloth

An interesting response to a query about polyester. As a vintage enthusiast I own several vintage 60/40 cotton/poly OCBD’s.

The ones I own are flawlessly constructed in a classic american style, as soft as the 100% cotton shirts I and don’t wear significantly differently than any comparable shirt.

Buy with caution, but if something passes muster for you and then you find it has polyester in it you have to decide for yourself if it’s truly a problem or not.
